We aim to offer international shipping services across Europe, however that would ultimately depend on the haulier provider and their own conditions, as in cost, security and tariffs.

tAble Design

I. Adjustments

In the rare case that your goods be defective or damaged, or you receive an incorrect order, we will correct the issue and make sure you have the item/s you ordered, but we cannot offer any further discounts or refunds.

II. Returns

We aim to always deliver quality products but mistakes can happen. Should you happen to receive defective or damaged goods, we will repair or replace the item. P provide a detailed description in writing, with images. 

Once an order has been placed and payment made, the cost of any additional requested design alterations will be charged to the customer.

As we are a small company working for a small margin we do not offer full or partial refunds, reimbursements, or compensation for orders delayed by the following: pandemic, force majeure event, government lockdown, border closures,war or any other event that could have not been foreseen. 

III. Warranty

tAble furniture items are manufactured to exacting standards under constant quality control inspection. Please keep in mind that wood tabletops are subject to shrinkage, warping, and seasonal cracks because of natural moisture within the wood reacting to changes in atmospheric conditions. While not common, such occurrences are an unavoidable condition of enjoying the character and beauty of a living material. They are not defects in the products or their manufacture and are beyond the control of tAble Design. Such occurrences are nonstructural and will not affect the durability of the table. Cracks filled with a cellulose filler of the right tint are practically invisible. 

Proper care and installation of the tabletops is the best prevention for any problems. 

The only warranty expressed or implied is a one-year guarantee against defects in workmanship and material. This warranty does not apply to damages that may result from neglect, accidental or intentional damage, exposure to extremes in temperature and humidity, and alteration or abuse of the product. Wood products ordered unfinished do not come with a warranty. See Care Guidelines for additional information. 


Remember, the beauty and longevity of your tabletops is determined by your care of them. 

IV. Refund 

Being a small company offering bespoke, custom-made to order products, we cannot accept returns or cancellations on any orders after 5 days from the date the order was placed. We kindly ask you to please ensure all details are correct when placing your order, and that you are content with all design requests.

We reserve the right on pre-made products to offer a partial refund if requested within 7 days of the receipt of the order. As you always have the option to select made-to-order, a 25% return fee will be applied, as well as the cost of the delivery (as stated by the courier) and any following collections. 

V. Delivery

Most of our tables ship disassembled. Please be aware that it is your responsibility to request shipment of a fully-assembled table. tAble Furniturewill not be held responsible for items that do not fit into the space required, and any re-deliveries and alterations will have to be charged to the customer. Please consider access to the location you are having the product made for.  Does it fit through all doors, corridors, stairwells,  et cetera?

To avoid discrepancies and failed deliveries, please ensure access is provided on the agreed day; in any such cases, we require the right to charge the customer, along with the cost of any necessary alterations.

We normally work with 8 weeks lead time. Any delivery dates or timeframes are estimates only. While we will make all reasonable efforts to deliver the goods within the time or times agreed we will not be responsible for any losses caused to the Buyer as a result of late delivery and are unable to offer compensation if the agreed delivery date is missed or cancelled by the haulier or ourselves. 

The shipping company that we work with has already set prices; however, we reserve the right to potentially increase the delivery costs in the following scenarios:

  • If you live in a remote part of Europe/ World.

  • Access to the room/delivery location is difficult. If there are several floors to manoeuvre up or long distances to carry the furniture, it is vital you inform us before delivery is attempted.

  • Because everything is handmade and made-to-order, we will always endeavour to complete any work in a timely fashion, however, if not agreed beforehand with the Buyer for a particular date, we will not be held accountable for any delays of such kind.

  • We use a third-party delivery company; your contact details will be sent to them to arrange delivery.

  • Flexibility and organisation of your shipment once reached the delivery company is totally up to them and on the day of delivery may not be flexible as we would want to. 

  • We will always attempt to have deliveries made in one consignment, but reserve the right to have goods delivered in more than one consignment, unless otherwise agreed.

  • For any missed delivery dates, further charges for re-delivery will be passed onto the Buyer, as will any charges for storage of goods.

  • The Buyer is responsible for inspecting the table on delivery for any possible damages and to notify us immediately of any damage.

  • The customer must sign the delivery company's POD (proof of delivery), if no mention of damage, no refunds or repairs can be issued for damages caused in transit.

  • There will be a surcharge on top of the delivery for postcodes listed outside our current delivery areas section of the Delivery Page.

  • Additional waiting time will be billed at EUR 30 per 30 minutes.

  • As our tables are made from solid wood, we will request the customer to organise an additional number of people to be present to assist with the delivery of large orders. Our courier may cancel the delivery if additional help is not onsite when delivery is made, as it will be too heavy and dangerous to them to lift alone.

VI. Materials

It is only natural in the materials we use, that our wood could contain characterful traits: like small knots in the grain (thus no refund is applicable).

In our humble creative view all of these insignificances will add to the uniqueness of your piece.  Should you want this character to be reduced in your piece, please specify and we will advise. In our Bespoke Page, you can see the differences in the wood materials, wood polish options, table legs etc.

A small knot could still be present in Prime Oak orders.

Live (waney) edge items are different every time and can have high levels of character. 

Working with the best natural oils for the finishes to our product, the end result may vary from photos online. We will always do our best to match it.

Should you decide to fit your own legs for instance to a tAble product, we cannot be held responsible for any damages in the adjustments. 

Like anything else, maintaining your tAble product is essential. This means that our finishes will need your help too. Depending on use, and to keep your tAble looking fresh, we recommend hard wax oil twice a year. For further details please refer to our Care Guidelines.

VII. Design

Unless otherwise stated, most of all products are made to fit your space, however, should you like to place a custom order please visit our Bespoke Page and send us your inquiry where we will advise further on height, depth, size and specifications.

We shall not accept returns, make adjustments or alterations, or offer refunds due to issues arising from the customer's personal preference on wood grain, pattern, knots, medullary rays, colour variation or any other naturally occurring elements.  

VIII. Products

Though we have a passion for outdoor activities and a sustainable environment, please note that our tables are only for indoor use.

Even in a perfect world, your table will not stay the same due to sunlight or slight changes in temperature/ humidity. Once delivery is done, we cannot be responsible if any of the aforementioned occurred. Please be aware that our wood is professionally treated and dried up to a certain % humidity.  For tips onhow to treat your table to keep it looking great, please refer to our Care Guidelines for more information.

IX. Payments 

 

All orders under the value of EUR 1000 can be paid in full just before dispatch.

Payment on all items over the above sum will be split into two 50% payments. The first will be required as a deposit and the final 50% is to be paid before dispatch. We will not ship any product before it has been paid in full.

Technical issues are the new normal these days. So, we reserve the right without prior notice to correct any errors, inaccuracies or omissions, and to change or update information or cancel orders (including after you have submitted your order).

Should we provide you with a quote it will remain valid for 30 days.  After this time we reserve the right to change prices accordingly in line with material costs and existing listing prices.
